Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery including conveyors, motors, packaging systems, refrigeration support equipment, and auxiliary systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using appropriate tools (e.g., multimeters)
- Conduct general building maintenance including lighting, plumbing, HVAC support, and minor structural repairs
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, manuals, and work instructions to complete maintenance tasks accurately
- Respond efficiently to equipment breakdowns and emergencies, identifying root causes and implementing long-term corrective actions
- Support preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
- Safely operate material-handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts
- Maintain accurate documentation of work orders, parts usage, and maintenance activities using a CMMS
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, SQF, and other food industry regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to proactively identify and resolve maintenance issues
- Assist with after-hours or weekend maintenance coverage as needed
- Perform additional duties and projects related to facility and equipment maintenance
What Our Client Is Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical school training or maintenance certification preferred
- Minimum of 2+ years of industrial or facility maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and basic HVAC support
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency for work order entry and parts tracking
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and food manufacturing regulations (USDA, SQF)
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or modified schedules as needed
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus, but not required
